The Fundamentals Level of the MyRoad Core Training and Mentoring Program provides an overview of the current concepts in research in our field of interest while also offering basic knowledge and skills to carry out research in these fields.
It was designed to be completed in one semester with approximately 40 hours of online training and live forums. Although it can be completed at your own pace, MyRoad offers the possibility of completing this level in a cohort, giving you the opportunity to structure your learning path, obtain support and feedback from peers and mentors and increase your motivation.
Briefly, by registering in this cohort, you are committing to completing the online modules according to the program and to participating in 5 virtual group meetings where you will discuss your learning and deepen your knowledge.

For the winter semester, the program runs for 15 weeks, from January 12 to the end of April 2026. Virtual meetings will take place on the following dates:
- Forum 1: January 12 2026, 1PM EDT, duration of 1 hour, hosted by André Tchernof
- Forum 2: February 9 2026, 2PM EDT, duration 1 hour, hosted by Ian Patton and Jennifer Kuk
- Forum 3: March 16 2026, 1PM EST, duration 1,5 hour, hosted by Jon McGavock
- Forum 4: April 7 2026, 12:30PM EST, duration 1 hour, hosted by Virginie Blanchette and Monica Parry
- Forum 5: Date and time to be confirmed, duration 1,5 hour, hosted by Emily Bell, Jan Bottomer and Andre Tchernof
