In 2027, the Pancreas & Islet Transplant World Congress will be held in Montreal, Canada, from July 7 to 10, and MyRoad is offering travel awards to attend. This event is the premier global forum dedicated to advancing both the established and emerging strategies in pancreas and islet transplantation and beta cell replacement. The meeting brings together leading clinicians, scientists, surgeons, researchers, and allied health professionals from around the world to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and shape the future of this field.
Travel awards of up to $1500 to cover transportation, accomodation and registration fees (allowable under CIHR research grant rules) to participate to the scientific event will be offered to selected participants affiliated to canadian institutions.
Eligibility criteria:
- Be a graduated student, a post-doctoral student, a medical resident or an Early Career Investigator in the field of obesity, diabetes and cardiometabolic diseases;
- Submit an abstract for the Pancreas & Islet Transplant World Congress 2027.
How to apply?
Please provide:
- a brief description of your training path so far and, if relevant, how your lived experience may have influenced your progress. (max. 250 words)
- a brief description of your most significant achievements so far (scientific or other) and how those achievements have prepared you for the activity you are applying for in the present funding call. (max. 250 words)
- a brief description of how this award will contribute to academic and career progress. (max. 250 words)
- the scientific abstract submitted to the conference.
