Earlier this year, the World Health Organization released guidelines on the use of non-sugar sweeteners. The Canadian Nutrition Society/Société canadienne de nutrition Thematic Conference (#CNSTHEMATIC24) will be held in Toronto on January 27, 2024 and focus on the role of non-nutritive sweeteners in health. Non-nutritive sweeteners (NNS) are widely used in food and beverages, but their effects on health are still controversial and debated.
