We welcome you to the joint annual meeting of the Quebec Society of Lipidology, Nutrition, and Metabolism (SQLNM), the Cardiometabolic Health, Diabetes, and Obesity Research Network (CMDO), and the MyRoad training platform, now united under its new name, MétaboliQc 2026. The event will take place from February 11 to 13, 2026, at the Saint-Hyacinthe Convention Center. This year’s theme: “New paradigms in cardiometabolic health”.
Successful engagement of citizen partners in research—a collaborative workshop organized by the MaRoute platform and the CMDO Network
On February 11, before the conference begins, join us for an afternoon of training and sharing dedicated to the engagement of citizen partners in research in the fields of obesity, diabetes, and cardiometabolic diseases. This activity is intended for students, researchers, and citizen partners interested in citizen collaboration in research.
The event will begin with a short presentation on the research cycle, levels of citizen engagement, and the motivations and modalities of citizen involvement. Research teams will then share their concrete experiences of citizen partnerships, discussing their successes, challenges, and lessons learned. Each presentation will be followed by a discussion period. The day will conclude with a networking session, encouraging exchanges between students, researchers, and citizens interested in collaborating.
This free workshop is organized by MyRoad, in collaboration with the CMDO’s Student Initiatives Committee and its citizen community.
Please note that the activity will be conducted in French only.
